This week we’ll look at an item from the Harris Family Collection #17 which was donated by Phil Harris.
An advertising circular for W.S. Tuttle “Finished Marble and Granite Monuments and Headstones” located at 150 Bay Street in Glens Falls, New York.

In the circular he gives references for monuments he provided to noteworthy persons in the area along with the cost of each monument:
Soldiers Monument, Sandy Hill, NY – $8,000
Miss Mary M. Person’s Mausoleum, North Creek, NY – $7,000
Jones Ordway Monument, Glens Falls, NY – $4,500
J.W. Finch’s Monument, Glens Falls, NY – $3,800
William McEchron’s Monument, Glens Falls, NY – $2,700
Amasa Howland’s Monument, Sandy Hill, NY – $2,500
Charles E. Bullard’s Monument, Glens Falls, NY $4,100
Russell M. Little’s Monument, Glens Falls, NY $750
The circular was not dated, but it’s interesting to see the prices some of these notable people paid for their monuments.
