The Charles Tisch Cottage at Schroon Lake, NY was recently demolished.
The cottage built in the year 1917 was located at the southern entrance to Schroon Lake village. It was designed by noted Glens Falls architect Ward Grover Shippey who did many projects in the Schroon Lake area including Scaroon Manor and the Brown Swan Club.
The garage was removed many years ago to create a parking lot. It’s sad to see such historic Adirondack architecture lost to the ages.
