"Rewind" - Devoted to Local History
Beginning in June of 2006, Warren County Historical Society published a weekly column in The Post Star that focused on local history: places, events, and people in and around Warren County. This continued for 5 years until the newspaper informed us that there wasn’t space any longer for the column.
The society waited about a year before deciding to start the column again, this time as a bi-weekly column on our website.
Beginning in June of 2012, we have posted two new Rewind columns each month, roughly on the 1st and 15th. While you may see a duplicate topic on occasion, the topics are sometimes repeated because of new, different, or additional information that was made available.
If you wish to see any of the first five years of the column, you can contact the Society to view copies of each of them.
The Society is always looking for people interested in researching and writing new Rewind columns for us. If you have an interest or a story to share, call us at 518-743-0734, or email us at [email protected].
