Warren County Historical Society Presents …

The Digital Version “REWIND”

November 15, 2018

Warren County has long been known for the artists that have resided or had a connection to the area:  Painters Weber Furlong and Georgia O’Keefee; sculptor David Smith; photographers Alfred Steiglitz and William W. Kennedy, and authors Edward Eggleston, James Fenimore Cooper, Glenn Pearsall, David J. Pitkin, and Teri Podnorszki Gay, newspaper columnists Howard Mason and Don Metivier – to name a few.  This column is presented to highlight an often overlooked artist, Douglas Crockwell.

The article comes from the ‘found’ issues of Glens Falls Today, a magazine printed in the mid-1980s that looks at the richness of the people, places, and events that make our area unique.
